Bloggers and prospective bloggers in Cardiff can find out more about running a successful blog at the first Cardiff bloggers meet-up.

The event will be at 7pm on Thursday 11th March 2010 at Pica Pica, which is on Westgate Street in the city centre, and will include a short presentation on how to set up a blog and the chance to meet other bloggers in the Cardiff area.

The presentation will be by Media Wales' web wizard James Cuff and cover the basics of using Wordpress, blogger, tumblr and other blogging tools.

Cuff's blogging experiences include building a successful American Football blog, his personal blog and creating 52newthings.

Cardiff bloggers meet-up is sponsored by Cardiff's Warwick Emanuel PR & Film and very kindly the first drink (glass of wine, pint of lager or soft drink) of the night will be free to anyone who pre-registers to attend. Once the tickets have sold you can still come along, but you won't be able to get a free drink and numbers of tickets are limited to two per person.

Free wi-fi will be provided if people want to bring laptops/mobiles and tweeting is encouraged - use the hashtag #cdfblogs.

The event is hosted by Hannah Waldram, Guardian beatblogger for Cardiff, and Ed Walker, Media Wales online communities editor, who will both be there on the night to answer any blogging queries you've got after the presentation. You can email Hannah on hrwaldram@gmail.com or Ed on Ed.Walker@mediawales.co.uk for more info.
